Game Play Bet on which of two hands will have a score closest to 9. Bet on either hand - OR bet on a tie. It's all down to you. The live action aspect cranks up the excitement beyond 11. Some of the all-important game basics
- Face cards (Jacks, Queens, and Kings), and Tens, score 0
- Aces score 1
All other cards count at their face value
The point value of each hand is the last digit of the sum of the cards. For example, a hand of King, 4, and 9 has a point value of 3 (0 + 4 + 9 = 13)
The action unfolds
- The croupier initially deals four cards
The first and third cards are dealt to the Player area of the table, immediately in front of the croupier
The second and fourth cards are dealt to the Banker area of the table, directly in front of the croupier
- Once the initial four cards are dealt, the two hands are evaluated
- After all cards have been dealt, the hand which has a point value closest to nine is the winner
Rules for taking a third card
Under certain circumstances, a third card is dealt to the Player's hand, and/or to the Banker's hand
Those circumstances are;
- When the Player's first two cards total 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, and the Banker's hand has a point value of 7 or less, then the Player gets a third card.
- Whether the Banker gets a third card depends on what the value of the Player's third card (if any) is.
- If the Player does not get a third card, and the Player's hand has a point value of 7 or less, and the Banker's first two cards total 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, then the Banker gets a third card.
If the Player does get a third card, then the Banker gets a third card when:
- The Banker's first two cards total 0, 1, or 2; or
- The Banker's first two cards total 3 and the Player's third card is not an 8; or
- The Banker's first two cards total 4 and the Player's third card is 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7.
- The Banker's first two cards total 5 and the Player's third card is 4, 5, 6, or 7.
- The Banker's first two cards total 6 and the Player's third card is 6 or 7.
